Aztecs Bikes: "It all started from our living room"
Like a lot of people, Marco (pictured above), the co-owner of Aztecs Bikes , got into cycling from doing his daily commute by bike. However, unlike the majority of commuter cyclists, cycling turned into a passionate hobby, so much so that Marco decided to make it his career. Starting his career as a supervisor at Evans in 2008, Marco has gone onto work for many of the well known cycle brands such as Evans, Cycle Republic, Balfe’s Bikes, Have Bike and Cycles UK.
Marco then embarked on a daring venture, investing heavily into bike mechanic qualifications and making the bold decision to establish his own business.
So, from his living room, Marco and his wife Angie set up Aztecs Bikes. Marco handling the bicycle repairs and Angie helping to run the business from behind the scenes. From the get go, things really took off. There were bikes all over the house, filling the living room and even in their daughter’s bedroom! They got to the point where the house was simply bursting at the seams with bikes.
So at the end of December 2021, Marco and Angie decided to open up their own shop on Corsican Square.
Being deeply committed to supporting their local community, Aztecs Bikes believe collaboration with other small businesses is key. Marco and Angie are a lovely team and all of us here at Hudjo are incredibly proud to have them part of our secure bike parking network in London.
Conveniently located near Devons Road DLR Station (E3), if you’re in the area and in need of a safe place to keep your bike, drop it off at Aztecs Bikes.
